Mondo Challenge Kalimpong (MCK) is an NGO dedicated to improving education and livelihoods in poor rural areas of Darjeeling, India, through volunteer action.

MCK has been working in Darjeeling District of India since 2002. We work with 15 local schools in various villages of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Sub-Divisions (see Activity Map). Through financial support from charitable organisations, individual donors and volunteers, we strive to provide a variety of support to primary and secondary schools in the Darjeeling hills in order to ensure poor children in rural areas have access to quality education. MCK works closely with MondoChallenge Foundation, it's partner in the UK, which funds many of MCK's education activities.
MCK also supports marginalised children and youth by providing opportunities for them to participate in various sports activities, especially running. Through the Run with Roshni project, we support poor young runners in Darjeeling to run national and international marathons.
Also, in order to create income streams for rural village communities, we operate the Kalimpong Village Discovery Tour, offering tourists an opportunity to experience exciting trekking and authentic Nepali culture in beautiful and unspoiled villages around Kalimpong, Darjeeling, while simultaneously contributing to the development of the communities and schools.
